Taking a cat to the vet is less of an errand and more of an epic quest. First, you must locate your feline, who has suddenly vanished into thin fur. You swear you just saw them lounging on the windowsill, but now they've gone full stealth mode, possibly tunneled into another dimension. Once found (bribed with treats, of course), the real battle begins: convincing your purrecious fluffball to enter the carrier. There's hissing. There's flailing. There's betrayal in their eyes.

In the car, they act like you're chauffeuring them to the underworld instead of a routine check-up. Every meow is a melodramatic monologue: "Why hast thou forsaken me?!" At the clinic, they suddenly forget their entire dramatic arc and act like angels. Tail up, purring, rubbing against the vet like you're the villain.

But once you're back home, all is forgiven. After a few passive-aggressive glares and a dramatic flop onto the floor. You're left wondering who really runs this household. (Spoiler: it's the cat.)

Vet visits may be a catastrophe in the moment, but at least they make for purretty great stories later.
